The main riots didn't occur until February and March 2006. Why the long delay? One possibility: In June 2006, Denmark took the presidency of the UN security council. <BR/><BR/>http://www.un.org/Docs/sc/presidency/header.htm<BR/><BR/>Riots in the tightly controlled Muslim dictatorships don't occur unless the government WANTS a riot.
