As Lewis Carroll said "it takes all the runnign you can do to stay in the same place." Unfortunately, too many elected offices are occupied by individuals far too concerned with their polling. To quote Lincoln, or at least I think it was Lincoln, what is right isn't always popular. And what is popular isn't always right. America, thanks to wealthy outsiders and celebrity idiots, has run their last election like a bad copy of American Idol. It's time for the media to ask tough questions regarding candidates' stands before the election rather than hiding behind the decisions after they are elected.
