The Nobel Peace Prize (Swedish and Norwegian: Nobels fredspris) is the name of one of five Nobel Prizes bequeathed by the Swedish industrialist and inventor Alfred Nobel. According to Nobel's will, the Peace Prize should be awarded "to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between the nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses".2007
The Peace Prize is awarded annually in Oslo, the capital of Norway. The actual prize always is presented on the 10th of December, the anniversary of the death of Nobel. The Norwegian king is in attendance. For the past decade, the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony at the Oslo City Hall has been followed the next day by the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, which is broadcast to over 150 countries and more than 450 million households around the world. The Concert has received worldwide fame and the participation of top celebrity hosts and performers. The selection of Nobel Peace Prize winners sometimes causes controversy, as the list of winners includes people who formerly used violent methods of problem-solving, but then later made exceptional concessions to non-violence in the attempt to achieve peace.
Al Gore - Average intelligence, below average morals and far below average regard for the truth. Will he now run for US President? I hope so; he'll lose again.
IPCC - Political entity that is trying to impose socialism and control world energy prices through the false science of climate change. Uses 17 dodgy climate models - none of which have ever been accurate - to support its claims of reducing CO2 emissions.
2006
Muhammad Yunus - Grameen Bank founder who robs from the rich, gives to the poor, makes them pay it back with large interest and if they can't hounds their family and friends for the money.
2005
International Atomic Energy Agency, Mohamed ElBaradei - What an embarrassment! Missed the fact that Iraq was building nuclear weapons. Then missed they'd been dismantled. Followed up by missing North Korea's nuclear weapons program. Having set a low standard it then lowered even that low mark by missing Iran's nuclear weapons program. The IAEA and ElBaredei are profoundly qualified to win the Nobel Peace Prize.
2004
Wangari Maathai - First African woman to win this prize so kudos to her. Very left wing politically, of course, and promotes women and environmental causes...of course. Caused controversy when she said HIV was deliberately designed by the West as a weapon of mass destruction against blacks. WMD? Where's ElBaradei?
2003
Shirin Ebadi - First Iranian and first Muslim women to win the Peace Prize. Awarded for her efforts to bring democracy and human rights to Iran, especially women's and children's rights. A worthy winner.
2002
Jimmy Carter - Racist, ignorant and profoundly naive worst ever US President. His actions led to the overthrow of the Shah of Iran and the formation of the world's first Islamic regime, which now is the world's leading sponsor of terrorism. Huge applause from his Useful Idiot supporters.
2001
United Nations - #1 on my Top 10 list of institutions that ruin the world
Kofi Annan - Oversaw a huge increase in not only the corruption of the United Nations but also its shift to radical left-wing organisation. Achieved nothing positive in his time as Secretary. A worthy Peace Prize winner.
2000
Kim Dae-jung - Former President of South Korea and the first Korean to take this award. Introduced the Sunshine Policy in which he engaged with North Korea's lunatic leader Kim Jong-il. There's yet to be a dictator that the left didn't appreciate appeasing in the name of peace so Kim Dae-jung was an obvious nominee.
1999
Médecins Sans Frontières - Won the Peace Prize in recognition of its members' continuous effort to provide medical care in acute crises, as well as raising international awareness of potential humanitarian disasters. A worthy enough winner.
Now we'll skip some and pick out the real duds.
1994
Yasser Arafat - Joint winner with Shimon Peres and Yitzhak Rabin. Murderous, treacherous and profoundly corrupt politician who signed the Oslo Peace Accord and then escalated suicide bombing - he is an obvious winner of the Peace Prize.
1990
Mikhail Gorbachev - Won the Nobel Peace Prize for bring the Soviet Union to an end. The real person responsible is Ronald Reagan but as a gasp! conservative he will never be recognised by the world's leftist intellectual elites. Moreover, Gorbachev was a committed Communist and didn't seek the collapse of the Soviet Union but didn't want to go down in history as leading the place to chaotic ruin. That some people suggest he deserves all the credit, let alone any of it, for the end of the Soviet Union is a rewriting of history typical of today's revisionist historians.
1988
United Nations Peacekeeping Forces - Yep, you read right. The UN Peacekeeping Forces. The award read that they "represent the manifest will of the community of nations" and have "made a decisive contribution" to the resolution of conflict around the world. The Peace Prize committee smoked too much bad crack before selecting this one if you ask me.
1985
International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War - Is there a more morally disgusting organisation to have won the Peace Prize? Yes there is - the UN itself.
1980
Adolfo Pérez Esquivel - Argentine socialist nutjob. He is noted for leading protests against the Free Trade Area of the Americas and for alleging that the Argentine police are forming children into paramilitary squads, an operation he compares to the creation of Nazi Germany's Hitler Youth.
1977
Amnesty International - That this formerly OK organisation has fallen into the hands of the political left that dominate so much of today's NGOs and lobby groups is one of the great tragedies of our time.

Top list. Fat Al is amongst great company. This fraud's got a carbon footprint bigger than the Sasquatch. Let's hope his private jet crashes soon after take-off en route to collecting his ill-gotten prize money. The result would lead to more greenhouse gas reductions than Kyoto has been able to muster since it was drawn up.
