I think that the electorate has stopped listening. All Barack Obama has to do is run a disciplined campaign from here on in and he will win - though he might want to muzzle the embarrassment that is his VP pick until after November 4.
You can see from the betting graph that Obama has a big lead, which has increased due to recent poor economic news. Opinion polls may tell one story but money always seems to be the strongest indicator of performance.
The irony is that voters will be electing the party that caused the mess in the first place.

Yeah, here's another very damning video of a House hearing where the Republicans were trying to reform the Fannie and Freddie lending practices.
And the Dems were up in arms. One after another, they said that Fannie and Freddie were just fine and that anything to the contrary was tantamount to racism. One idiot was lauding them for making 100% loans.
Holy baby Jeeeebus!
It's a beauty. Where's the accountability? If this were Republicans, there would 24/7 broadcasting of this video and much more on all the media.

And these very same people are insisting on inserting into the bailout legislation that 20% of the profit from the proceeds in selling the properties the government buy up go into a fund to give to the very people who caused this mess.
These people are just shameless.
