For no other reason than because I can here are a few rock 'n' roll classics. I'm not going to name the song, see if you can guess what it is from the info and the Youtube image.
This is, in my opinion, the greatest rock 'n' roll song by a rock 'n' roll band ever. It's much more complex than people think (a bit like Smoke On The Water in that regard), particularly toward the end. You may argue about the status I give the song but you can't argue that it's from the greatest riff band of all time.
Next up is the song with what I consider to have the best intro of any rock 'n' roll song. Funnily enough, I was discussing this with one of my mates a couple of years ago and about four months later a poll of the UK's top music journalists put this at number one, as well.
Here's what I reckon is the greatest cover song of all time. A reasonably uncontroversial pick.
And, finally, the greatest rock 'n' roll song ever written from my all time #1 band. Rolling Stone only put it at #31 on their Top 500 rock 'n' roll songs of all time list. I think they've been smoking something illegal for a bit too long.
