Hi Jack ... was in Canberra Tuesday and Wednesday. I love it there. I also have a lot of history there. Spent time at Bruce and in Civic the last two days. My motel at Belconnen (Belconnen Premier) wasn't the same as the old Hyatt next to Green Square, but it was a productive trip. Stevo
Stevo - if you're staying somewhere as salubrious as the Belconnen Premier then I'm assuming that the 'productive' part of your trip was successfully coupling up with some old flame while their partner is away?
Canberra - too hot in summer, too cold in winter, best spring and autumn in the country.
Jack ... the Premier was down a few points on my usual stay stars, but I've travelled Australia wide and it was OK. Good service in the restaurant. I'm not too pretentious when it comes to accommodation, but you do get used to superior stuff ... no ... I couldn't give a rats really. What made it really OK was the people I stayed and dined with. The getting together with a meal and a few drinks was worth as much as the formal meetings both days. I'll be be back there soon, and will look forward to it. Stevo
Jack ... I'm not too sure how world famous you are ... you need a few more links to you so we can have a varied discussion. I assume there is a lot of competition in this space. Regardless, I like many of your thought provoking posts. Keep up the good work.
I don't know how world famous I am either! Maybe 0.0000001% of the world know about me because of the blog. There is certainly a lot of competition in the space and people work hard to put good product out there and improve their popularity.
Still, I've been going less than three months and was a bit surprised that anyone reads me at all so more than 12,000 unique visits is pretty good going at this point, I think.

This page is SO BLANK that my imagination strikes me back, takes my wallet and runs away. I love it.
